Exciting Renovations Coming Summer 2024

Paso Robles Inn is embarking on an exciting new chapter, we’re currently going through an expansive restoration, aimed at honoring our storied past and restoring our beloved property. Take a look at what’s upcoming for this landmark reimagined, we can’t wait to welcome you!

What you can expect:  

The Paso Robles Inn renovation project is aimed at preserving the historic charm of our beloved property while enhancing our guest rooms, outdoor gardens, pool area, and the lobby. The renovation will occur in phases, with a focus on guestrooms first. 

Renovation work will be between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. During the renovation, we anticipate minimal disruption to guest services and will make every effort to ensure a pleasant guest experience, taking all necessary measures to minimize any inconvenience. Guests will be placed as far from renovation work as possible. 

Key Dates and Temporary Closures:

May 1, 2024 - July 2024: The Pool will be temporarily closed as well as upper garden area walkways.  

May 2024 – June 30, 2024: The Lobby will temporarily be relocated while it’s under construction. Please check in at the Ballroom building. The Steakhouse patio will be temporarily closed but please join us inside for dining.

August 2024: All guestrooms and renovations complete.

Guestrooms:

  • During the project, each guestroom will undergo a total restoration, including updates to paint, floors, and soft goods. Warm tones, natural textures, and contemporary design elements converge to craft a welcoming space that sets the tone for your entire stay. 
  • Debuting 1889 House: The 12 guest rooms in the ballroom building will be debuting as the 1889 House. This ‘hotel-within-a-hotel’ concept will pay homage to the Victorian history of the building, offering a unique and special experience for our guests.

Event Spaces:

  • The Grand Ballroom: The ballroom is the only building that remains from the original El Paso de Robles Hotel which opened in 1891. This distinguished event space will be updated with new stained floors, light fixtures, curtains, and wallpaper accents that pays homage to the era’s elegant style. Boasting 3,600 sq feet, the Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 350 guests. 

A Large Empty Room With Lights

  • Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Site: Exchange vows beneath the bough of the Inn’s centuries-old oak tree in our famed central gardens.  The garden ceremony site will be expanded to accommodate up to 250 guests.  

Public Spaces: 

  • Secret Gardens: With the unveiling of our best-kept secret, our secret gardens, guests can expect to find enhanced garden spaces while still offering the koi ponds, oak trees and rose gardens that our guests love.  
  • Lobby: The redesigned lobby will reflect a celebration of California country style where rustic charm meets modern sophistication.

  • Pool: Dive into the revamped pool area, featuring the addition of pool cabanas.
